CLEVELAND-- Jan. 4, 2001--Wireless Internet Solutions Provider Inc. (WISP) announced today that the company has signed an OEM and Partnership Agreement with Flash Networks, Inc., a developer of network performance solutions that effectively utilize existing bandwidth for high-speed wireless access to corporate applications and the Internet.

Under the terms of the agreement, Flash Networks' NettGain 1100 product will be integrated into WISP's new ZEPHYRTM product to provide WISP customers with optimized wireless solutions. In addition to the overall speed improvements, the combined products will provide WISP users with an enhanced Internet browsing experience and provide fast access to a variety of secure sites. The ZEPHYR(TM) product is expected to be available later this month in limited test markets.

"Our experience with Flash Networks' technologies has been very positive, and we are very pleased WISP will be able to offer this advanced technology as part of our solution," stated Percy Bhathena, Chief Executive Officer of WISP. "ZEPHYR(TM) users will experience wireless speeds of 56 to 64 Kbits which is equivalent to ISDN performance on wired networks. Such improvement will significantly enhance Internet connection speeds and the overall wireless user's experience."

"With the incorporation of the NettGain technology, WISP will be able to offer superior performance improvements to their wireless data consumers and target large enterprise customers by offering secure access to sensitive corporate data using accelerated HTTPS and VPN interoperability. NettGain and ZEPHYR(TM) together deliver speeds that are up to eight times faster than standard wireless TCP," said PK Prasanna, President of Flash Networks. "This level of acceleration, coupled with security, will be a true differentiator for WISP in the wireless market and will help increase market share significantly for Flash Networks."
