Flash Networks has announced the appointment of Liam Galin, as President and CEO.
Herzelia, Israel, 20 June – Flash Networks, the leader in mobile data optimisation solutions for mobile carriers worldwide, has today announced the appointment of Liam Galin, as President and CEO.
"Flash Networks is deploying technologies that every mobile operator is going to need, as demands for rich content skyrocket," said Galin, who brings proven management experience to the company. "RedHerring's selection of Flash as one of the top 100 technology companies in Europe points to the potential. My job is now to realize that potential."
Galin joins Flash Networks from his previous position as CEO of RiT (NASDAQ: RITT) where his 7-year record at the company included leading it through the technology downturn as the leading provider of network physical infrastructure management solutions for enterprise and carrier environments. During his tenure, the strategies that Galin executed enabled the Company to build its future, develop visionary products, build strategic relationships, and win major customer accounts while building the company's future, positioning it for accelerated growth. Prior to his joining RiT, Galin served in the Israel Defense Forces for nine years, as the head of a research and development department in the fields of data and telecommunications. Galin holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Tel Aviv University.
"One of the most attractive points at Flash is that their sales are steadily increasing, including sales to Tier 1 carriers, such as AT&T, Orange, SFR, and T-Mobile," said Galin. "Over the last year Flash Networks has won ten new accounts and that kind of proven field experience only comes from a company with a product line that solves some very real problems in today's mobile networks. The company has clear commitment to working in tangent with its customers to develop outstanding software and hardware platforms."
The selection of Flash Networks as one of RedHerring's Top 100 was based both on the market growth and on the potential of Flash's platforms. "More than ever, consumers are turning their cell phones into all-purpose communications devices and using them to send photos, browse the web, and watch pre-recorded performances," said RedHerring. "Flash Networks has the technology to make a handsome profit in this growing market."
