# TMN Chose Flash's NettGain to Power Their Mobile Data Access Offering

TMN has chosen Flash's NettGain to enable the provision of high-speed, secure data access services to the Portuguese business and consumer community.

NettGain transforms the standard infrastructure of 2.5G/GPRS mobile networks into one capable of providing secure email services, full access to enterprise applications such as Microsoft Exchange, and fully-featured Internet browsing.

*“The demand for mobile data access from our corporate clients made it essential for us to deliver the speed, reliability and security they wanted,” said Sergio Braganca Goncalves, CTO of TMN’s Mobile Internet Business Unit. “As a proven and tested solution, NettGain was the choice for us.”*

*“We are delighted that TMN has chosen NettGain to provide services to its customers as part of Group Portugal Telecom’s data access business strategy,” replied Flash Network’s VP Sales Ztiki Fuchs. “We have seen clear evidence from recent research that the enterprise community is impatient for mobile data access services, and our experience over many deployments ideally positions us to meet this demand.”*

A study by US-based analysts Ovum revealed that 86% of companies surveyed would wirelessly enable their business if they could seamlessly integrate existing corporate applications. Another survey from In-Stat/MDR in March 2002 claimed that the number of business wireless data users is to grow from 6.6 million at the end of 200, to more than 39 million in 2006. Flash Networks is well-positioned to build on its existing technological leadership
